About me

My name is Linnore.  I grew up in the Philippines and was raised by a business-minded mother and influenced by my strong and independent maternal grandmothere who instilled in me the importance of being independent, having and leading my own life, passion and having sources of income, regardless of whether a husband is present to provide for me.  I grew up in a family where the women were encouraged to have their own businesses, so I always knew that one day I will own and operate a business.  I didn’t know that I will have not just one but numerous businesses!

I went to school in the Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Saint Thomas University.  After college, I worked and lived in New York until I relocated to Colorado to open, head and grow a regional office for the company I was then working for in New York.

My first foray into being a business owner was in 1999 when my husband and I bought our first paint-your-own cermics studio which grew to 3 locations in a span of 3 years.  In 2003 I added to my ceramics business by opening a Decor & You® decorating firm which has grown to provide not only interior design but also kitchen and bath remodeling services.   I still own, operate and manage the interior and remodeling business.

From 1999 to date, I have sold and purchased new businesses.  I owned a long term part time staffing company for 7 years, owned and published a women’s magazine for 3 years, hosted a local television lifestyle show and a decorating and lifestyle internet radio program and owned and operated a women’s boutique.  I currenty have an online clothing store and now focusing on Living Good By Design, by blogging about my first-hand experiences as I travel and try out different businesses locally and elsewhere not only to help spread and share what these various businesses do and offer but to also provide valuable information to readers and consumers.

If you think I don’t sleep— think again!  I love my sleep and my family can tell you that I spend every chance I get to catch up on my “zzzz’s” when I am not spending quality time with my family.
